My name is Meaghan Arnold and I am a Speech Language Pathologist passionate about serving the adult and geriatric populations. I attended the University of Arizona where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Special Education. I continued my education at the University of Texas at Austin where I received my Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I have held my Certificate in Clinical Competence since 2016 with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
I am a member of the ASHA Special Interest Group 13 which specializes in Swallowing and Swallowing disorders. In 2019 I received the ACE award from ASHA for my commitment to lifelong learning and completion of extensive continuing education.
I am a trained endoscopist and complete fiberoptic endoscopic swallowing evaluations (FEES) and work as a home health therapist. I am certified in neuromuscular electrical stimulation using the Ampcare Effective Swallowing Protocol. I am a trained SPEAK OUT! clinician and I am also trained in respiratory muscle strength training. I have completed training in myofascial release to address neck, voice, and swallowing disorders. I enjoy collaborating with other speech language pathologists and love to assist SLPs in bringing education and in-services their facilities.
