I continued my education at the University of Texas at Austin where I received my Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I have held my Certificate in Clinical Competence since 2016 with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

I am a member of the ASHA Special Interest Group 13 which specializes in Swallowing and Swallowing disorders. In 2019 I received the ACE award from ASHA for my commitment to lifelong learning and completion of extensive continuing education.

I am a trained endoscopist and complete fiberoptic endoscopic swallowing evaluations (FEES) and work as a home health therapist.
